A CLEARER WAY FORWARD
For many small business owners, accounting becomes something they deal with only when they have to. Books fall behind, tax deadlines get closer and it gets harder to understand where the business really stands.
That's where I can help.

Ongoing accounting support for business owners who need professional financial guidance without hiring in-house.
Professional preparation of individual and business tax returns with a focus on accuracy and organisation.

THE DIRECT CPA DIFFERENCE
Brooks & Ledger is intentionally a small CPA practice. When you work with me, you aren't passed from a salesperson to an account manager and then to a junior accountant. I'm the person who gets to know your business, reviews your numbers and answers your questions.
Talk to Emily ↗You work directly with the CPA responsible for your account.
Over time, I become familiar with how your business operates and the questions that matter to you.
I explain accounting in straightforward language so you understand what needs your attention.
A PERSONAL APPROACH
I'm Emily Brooks, a CPA based in Raleigh, North Carolina. I've spent the past 12 years working in accounting, including supporting small businesses and privately owned companies.
I've seen how business owners can receive plenty of financial information but very little explanation. I started Brooks & Ledger to offer a more personal kind of accounting relationship.
My goal is simple: keep your financial records organised, help you understand what the numbers mean and give you straightforward professional advice when you need it.
